nourished mind is a space i created with clients and community in mind. i want everyone who steps through the door to feel that they can show up as their truest self during our time together without judgment, expectations, or the pressure to have everything figured out. therapy is a collaborative process, and it is important to me that we start with where you are, understand where you want to go, and work together to find a path forward that feels meaningful and realistic for you.
my approach as a therapist is rooted in strength-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt). i believe therapy should be both supportive and practical, with space to understand what you're experiencing while also identifying the tools, strengths, and strategies that can help you move forward. my work is collaborative and goal-oriented, but i also recognize that everyone's journey looks different. there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health, and my goal is to meet you where you are and help you build a life that feels more manageable, fulfilling, and authentically yours.
i received my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from minnesota state university moorhead in 2020. i am licensed in both minnesota and north dakota, allowing me to provide services throughout the fargo-moorhead area and surrounding communities. throughout my counseling career, i have had the opportunity to work with clients in a variety of settings, including intensive in-home therapy, outpatient therapy, and school-based therapy. these experiences have given me a broad perspective on the many ways mental health can intersect with everyday life, relationships, family, school, work, and personal growth.
at the heart of my work, i believe therapy should ultimately help you live more fully outside of the therapy room. while our sessions provide a place to reflect, learn, process, and practice new skills, the goal is to help those changes carry into your everyday life. whether you are navigating a difficult season, feeling stuck, working toward a specific goal, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, you don't have to have all the answers before you begin.
outside of the therapy space, i am someone who finds a lot of joy in the simple things. i enjoy reading, listening to music, watching sports, and spending time outdoors. i love being around the people closest to me because they fill my cup, while also appreciating quiet time alone to recharge. i tend to find gratitude in a good cup of coffee, discovering a new restaurant, taking in a midwest sunset, or spending time on my yoga mat. i believe those small moments of connection, rest, and joy are an important part of a full and meaningful life, and i hope to help my clients make room for those things in their own lives, too.
